So we’re looking at a new ingredient supplier based in Australia and they’ve sent through their ISO 22000 certificate from an Australian CB.
My manager is now asking me whether that cert is actually recognised for our EU export customers and honestly I’m not 100% sure how to answer that.
Like I know IAF MLA exists but whether our EU buyers will just accept it without question is another thing entirely. Some of these European retailers can be really particular about which CBs they’ll accept.
Has anyone dealt with this practically? Not looking for the theory, just what actually happens on the ground.
